Philip C. Crosby began practicing real estate and business law in 1997 and founded the Crosby Law Group in 2003.
Mr. Crosby began his career with one of San Francisco’s preeminent real estate and land use firms, Reuben & Alter LLP (now Reuben & Junius LLP). While at Reuben & Alter, Mr. Crosby represented property owners and developers of all sizes. For example, he assisted both national real estate investment trusts develop and lease high-rise office buildings and individuals obtain variances for their homes. Mr. Crosby assisted with all variety of real estate transactions such as purchases and sales, financing, easements, licenses and extensive commercial leasing. In addition to real estate and land use work, he also counseled clients on business transactions ranging from entity formation, joint ventures, mergers and sales of businesses and prosecution of trademarks.
Following his work at Reuben & Alter, Mr. Crosby joined Wendel, Rosen, Black & Dean LLP in Oakland. Founded in 1909 Wendel Rosen is a firm of approximately 60 attorneys representing clients drawn from across the western United States. While at Wendel Rosen, Mr. Crosby continued to hone his real estate legal skills while representing property owners, developers, tenants and real estate professionals. Mr. Crosby’s corporate practice grew to include an expansive spectrum of business transactions while representing entities at many stages in their growth and from a varied mix of industries. For example, he counseled both new, emerging growth companies and long established firms in the following industries: manufacturing, consulting, retail sales, consumer products, consumer and professional services, high technology and software.
